February has been a very busy month for me; I call it a month of discipline because I was actively involved in several projects that really tested my time management and organizational skills.

Here’s a summary of what I was up to:

Co-Chair, “Black Excellence”

First, I served as co-chair for the Canadian Law Review’s BHM initiative called Black Excellence! As part of the initiative, I helped co-lead their BHM event called Journey of Excellence, where we had amazing speakers including an admissions officer, prosecutor, and law students. (Definitely my proudest accomplishment this month!)

Media Assistant, PTP

Second, I am currently working with the Prison Transparency Project as a media assistant, during the month I helped create content for the team to improve their online presence.

Project Proposal

Third, I worked on a project proposal for research I would like to conduct over the summer. The topic is on affirmative action and incorporates a Canadian context.

Blog Website

Last but not least, I finally created a website (thanks for visiting) for Pre-Legally Black, where I will primarily post from this point forward!

Despite the craziness of the month, I have learned so much and also grown a lot as a leader. 🎀 Very blessed for all these opportunities.
